The Booloominbah Society

The Boolominbah Society honours alumni, companies, families, foundations, and friends who demonstrate their philanthropic commitment to The University of New England.

Established in 2017, the Booloominbah Society recognises our annual and lifetime donors who provide the philanthropic leadership and vision that contributes to the academic excellence of UNE. It celebrates the bond shared by our benefactors.

Members of the Booloominbah Society receive special communications and unique opportunities to engage with the UNE community.

The Booloominbah Society consists of an annual membership and five lifetime membership circles.

The Booloominbah Society consists of an annual membership and five lifetime membership circles.

The forms of membership:

  • Membership may be per household e.g. alumni partners; or as individuals of $1,000 or more annually; or
  • *Young alumni (35 or younger) may join The Booloominbah Society with a $500 donation for annual membership; and
  • Membership is open to alumni, families, friends, foundations and companies.

Members of The Booloominbah Society are recognised through:

  • Special communications from the Office of Advancement and the Vice Chancellor’s Office
  • Exclusive invitations and reserved seating at special events
  • Exclusive invitation to special donor recognition events
  • Special donor recognition in UNE publications and website
  • An exclusive lapel pin for the year you pledge

To become a member of Booloominbah Society by committing to a gift(s) totalling $1,000* or more per calendar year (available in instalments) to any fund at UNE. Donors have the opportunity to direct giving to a fund benefiting the area of the donor’s choice.

Lifetime Circle membership include:

  • The Platinum Circle reflects accumulated giving of $5,000,000 or more and is a lifetime membership
  • The Diamond Circle reflects accumulated giving of $1,000,000 to $4,999,999 and is a lifetime membership
  • The Gold Circle reflects accumulated giving of $500,000 to $999,999 and is a lifetime membership
  • The Silver Circle reflects accumulated giving of $250,000 to $499,999 and is a lifetime membership
  • The Bronze Circle reflects accumulated giving of $100,000 to $249,999 and is a lifetime membership

Membership is acknowledged in the year a donor pledges, even if the donor intends to pay the pledge in the following year(s) with the exception of a Heritage Circle bequest intention.

The Vice Chancellor’s Circle

  • $5,000 to $9,999 annually.

The Chancellor’s Circle

  • $10,000 or more annually.

Members of the Vice Chancellor Circle and the Chancellor Circle receive special service in addition the Booloominbah Society recognition services.

The Heritage Circle:

  • Gift Required: Confirmations of intention to make a bequest to the University
  • Members of The Heritage Circle are recognised through:
    • Special communications from the Office of Advancement and the Vice Chancellor’s Office
    • Exclusive invitations and reserved seating at special events
    • Exclusive invitation to special donor recognition events
    • Special donor recognition in UNE publications and website
    • An exclusive lapel pin for the year you pledge.
