Graduate Diploma in Counselling 2019

I enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Counselling. I enrolled part time and completed the Diploma over two years. It was an incredible experience and I learned a great deal. The lecturers were very professional and experienced. They were very reasonable and considerate when it came to needed extensions. Online study is sometimes difficult when juggling life’s demands. Online study these days is so different from the external studies before the internet. Everything is laid out so that excellent learning takes place and access to library resources and staff was very simple. I was honoured to have received a certificate of commendation for high achievement with this Graduate Diploma.

My goal was to become a registered Counsellor. I have now achieved that goal as I am now a registered member of the Australian Counsellors Association. This was one of the attractive aspects of enrolling in this course of study.

As soon as I had completed my studies my employer provided me with a golden employment opportunity. Now I am finding that I am being head-hunted by other organisations with very attractive offers. There is a high demand for counsellors. This qualification opens many doors, providing multiple opportunities, not only in counselling, but in social work and in government.

Living in the Northern Territory is exciting and challenging. Here, one develops close relationships working with Australia’s Traditional Owners. It is a unique place to live as it differs significantly from the rest of Australia. Its proximity to Asia enables great opportunities for business and travel. And it is always warm.
