  1. What was your UNE qualification? Donna Hanson
    Bachelor of Training and Development.
  2. Online or on-campus study?
    Online.
  3. How did you find UNE lecturers?
    Great, the lecturers were easy to work with. I flew to Sydney for one extra face to face that really added value.
  4. What was your reason for studying at UNE?
    It had the most relevant degree to align with my work/business and it was all online – I wanted it to be flexible to my needs.
  5. Your current job
    For the last twenty four years I’ve run my own productivity training company consulting to global brands and am a professional speaker, trainer and educator presenting at conferences and events around the world.

  6. How has your UNE qualification aided you in your career?
    It consolidated what had been a lot of informal knowledge and experience I’d had in the 17 or so years prior to my degree.
  7. What inspires you inside work and outside work?
    My work inspires me because I work with individuals, organisations and their teams to make their lives better with technology.
    Outside work, I am inspired by food, learning, nature and trashy reality tv (business stuff).
  8. Do you volunteer your time for a community project or organisation?
    I have twice been a board member on Professional Speakers Australia, the peak body for professional speakers in Australia, I have also served on kindergarten and school councils over the years.
  9. In this time of Covid-19, how has the virus impacted your work?
    Face to face facilitation has dried up, but I also have the luxury of having online programs and ability and connections to deliver globally virtually.  COVID-19 has meant a methodology, virtual, that I have been espousing the benefits of to clients of for years is finally something they are interested in.

Out of every negative comes something positive, you just need to take the perspective of glass half full as opposed to half empty!
