The Oorala Experience Days Program introduces students in Years 9 & 10 to pursuing higher education. Students will be more equipped to approach tertiary study after taking part in Oorala's Experience Days Program.  Students from a range oschools will particpate in a series of workshops and lectures and have a personal experience in readiness to approach study at university.

Aims of the Days

  • Receive information about studies and career pathways that complements the schools' current career guidance.
  • Gain knowledge of UNE's teaching and learning opportunities, degree options, and relevant career paths.
  • Gain more knowledge of the course requirements for a UNE undergraduate degree

Schools participate in either the full five day program or by selecting individual days.
In this program alongside cultural sessions, there are two streams running that include a range of academic sessions delivered from across the UNE Schools and include pharmacy, psychology, nursing, chemistry, meat science, the poultry hub, environmental science, sheep production, law, criminology, languages, physical education, zoology and drama.

A big thank you goes out to the faculties and SportUNE for without their support, we would not be able to offer this experience to our Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students.
