A hybrid event organised by the Literary Worlds Research Group at UNE

Date: Wed Jun 19, 2024 6:00 pm - Jun 20, 2024 12:30 pm

Location: Online and at Parramatta Campus

Networks and Transnational Communities of Letters is an event organised by The Literary Worlds Research Group and UNE to foster a cross-disciplinary, diachronic and multilingual investigation of the idea of ‘network’ as a framework for inclusion of silenced, neglected, or unjustly underrepresented voices in our literary worlds.

In embracing Caroline Levine’s reorientation of literary studies around the network rather than the nation, this conference’s ambition is thus to highlight ‘patterns of circulation rather than rootedness, zigzagging movements rather than stable foundations’ (Levine 2013: 657).

The online only session will take place on Zoom on Wednesday 19 June 2024 - 6pm to 8pm.

The hybrid online/in-person session at UNE Sydney (Room 3, 100 George St, Parramatta) will take place on Thursday 20 June from 10:00am to 12:30pm.

To register for the event (online and/or in person) please email the organisers A/Prof Valentina Gosetti (vgosetti@une.edu.au) or Dr Giulia Torello-Hill (gtorello@une.edu.au).
