15 Day USA Agribusiness Study Program

Expression of Interest

Students are invited to submit an expression of interest, by the date shown below, to participate in a 15-day USA Agribusiness Study Program in Trimester 1 2024. Features include field trips and professional visits to agribusinesses in Wyoming, Colorado and other regions of the USA. The program will provide students with opportunities to gain increased awareness of agribusiness issues from an international perspective, build networks and expand career development and employment prospects.

Expressions of interest are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students with an interest in agribusiness enrolled in any degree at the University of New England. Note that undergraduate students must have completed 48 credit points of study to be eligible.

Dates: April 2024 (Trimester 1 mid-trimester break period, dates to be confirmed)

Approximate Cost: AU $7500.00 per person (twin share accommodation), including international airfares (ex-Sydney), travel in country, and most meals and activities. Please note that this price is indicative only.

Interested students are invited to submit an Expression of Interest by 8 December 2023 to Associate Professor Stuart Mounter.

Eligibility 

Students in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs (on-campus and online) are eligible. Undergraduate students enrol in OSSE300 and must have completed 48 credit points. Interested students, who have not completed 48 credit points, may submit an expression of interest, and eligibility will be assessed on a case by case basis. Postgraduate students enrol in OSSE500, and require permission of their Course Coordinator. Assessment will be undertaken during and post program for unit credit.

Students will be granted 6 credit points on successful completion of the unit as a listed unit towards their degree (check with your Course Coordinator to confirm).

OS-HELP Assistance

Undergraduate students are able to apply for OS-Help Assistance (provided by the Australian Government) for the cost of the tour. Conditions apply.
