What is your background?
I used to live in Perth and was looking for a computer science course that I could do fully online as I was working full-time at the time and knew that I would not be able to combine work with on-campus studies.
Why UNE?
Most universities in Australia do not offer Bachelor of Computer Science degrees online so my search had to be narrowed down to just a handful including UNE. UNE was the only one offering a Data Science specialisation which I found to be attractive from a future career perspective.
What is the best thing about studying with UNE?
I found the content offered within the UNE course to be very up-to-date and immediately applicable to tasks that I was performing at work. The online delivery of learning material is very well organised and has been free of any major tech issues. I never had any problems contacting lecturers and unit coordinators to get assistance whenever I needed it. I especially enjoyed the fact that UNE is very flexible and allows students to participate in special projects of their interest which then can be used to decorate the student's CV. Also, students can get credit not only for their past studies but also for relevant work experience.
