Bachelor of Zoology

Zoology is the study of the diversity and ecology of animals – their evolution, form, function, behaviour and interactions within the natural world. Zoology can be considered at the level of the whole animal, down to the level of cell biology and biochemical processes and their genetic control.  At a larger scale animals are an integral part of natural systems but also have a major impact on humans as parasites and as pests competing for our food. In this degree you will investigate the interactions of between animals with plants, and microbes, which help many animals to effectively utilise plants as food.
