Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours

The Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours program is designed to allow well-qualified graduates to extend their studies in a chosen area of Computer Science either to improve their career prospects or to proceed to higher degree studies. Honours is an intensive program which combines coursework and a thesis and enables students to research a topic they are passionate about. It also provides the opportunity for the development of an original research project. Students are able to conduct research under the guidance of a supervisor who is a specialist in the chosen field. Completion of the Honours year provides students with an avenue to postgraduate study or into a career as a professional researcher or academic. Honours graduates are able to demonstrate that they can work with minimal supervision and apply their Computer Science skills to a range of areas.
