Far Out Science is on again in 2017!

students completing a science activity A day of hands-on workshops, where students take on experimental challenges and come face-to-face with cutting edge research and the scientists who do it. Activities on offer will include making slime and hot/cold packs in the chemistry lab, making hand cream in pharmacy, monitoring blood pressure and heart rate in the sport science exercise labs, neuroscience and nursing, psychology, electronic and environmental and rural science activities. Experience the wonder of chemistry, the thrill of brain science and the awe of astrophysics.

THURSDAY 9th of November is for secondary students in Years 7 – 10,

FRIDAY 10th of November is for primary students in Years 5 & 6.

The days will kick off at 9:30 am in Lazenby Hall at the University of New England campus in Armidale, and finish at 3.15 pm.

We are offering sessions for groups of 30 primary students and 25 secondary students per school.  So if you haven’t experienced Far Out Science at UNE, now is your opportunity! Provide a transformational encounter with science for your students.


Online registrations open on Friday 30th June at 9am and will close Friday 6th of October 2017.  Places are limited and will be given on a first registered basis!

Places are restricted to 25 students per school for secondary (Years 7-10) and 30 students per school for primary (Years 5 & 6).
