Far Out Science
Far Out Science is on again in 2019!
Join us at UNE for a day of hands-on workshops where students take on experimental challenges and get to see what happens in real university science laboratories with the scientists who are at the forefront of research and education. Understand chemistry in our everyday lives, concoct creams and potions in pharmacy, check your vitals with nursing, test your physical prowess in the sport science exercise labs, connect your neural pathways in neuroscience and discover other amazing things in ecology, psychology, physics and agriculture.
Far Out Science will be held on:
THURSDAY 7 November 2019 for primary students in Years 5 and 6.
FRIDAY 8 November 2019 for secondary students in Years 7 - 10
Activities each day will begin at 9:30am in Lazenby Hall at the UNE campus in Armidale, NSW, and finish at 3.15pm.
Groups will be limited to 30 primary students (Years 5 and 6) and 25 secondary students (Years 7-10) per school. For schools with over 500 students, we may be able to accommodate larger groups. Please contact us on the email below for more information.
If you haven’t experienced Far Out Science at UNE before, now’s your chance!
