ConocoPhillips Science Experience

Venue: The University of New England, Armidale NSW

Date: 15 - 17th January 2019, inclusive

Cost: Registration plus $65/night for accommodation and all meals

The Science Experience at the University of New England, Armidale, is an all-round university experience.

You can immerse yourself in a world of science across disciplines in a program filled with hands-on activities including experiments, bushwalking at Dangar Falls, DNA investigations, extreme chemistry, coding challenges, and agricultural and ecological science on our rural properties and SMART Farm.

Students have an opportunity to interact with, and ask questions of scientists from industry, academia, consulting and government in a career panel discussion that focuses on the changing job market in science and helping students identify their passions and interests in science.

Supervised accommodation is available in one of the University's residential colleges at a cost of only $65/night including breakfast, lunch and dinner for both nights. We hold a trivia night at the college followed by rock climbing and sport challenges at SPORT UNE’s world class facilities.

We encourage students to seek Rotary scholarships to cover registration costs. This year, Rotary are also offering scholarships for students in drought-affected areas to cover registration! Contact your local Rotary Club and discuss your motivation for attending The Science Experience today.
