About Graduate Research School (GRS)

The Graduate Research School coordinates all aspects of Higher Degree Research within the Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business and Law.

Across the four schools: Environmental and Rural Science, Science and Technology, UNE Business School and Law, the Graduate Research School provides strategic oversight of research training.

The Graduate Research School affords an inclusive, collaborative research environment creating a strong sense of identity among higher degree research candidates and alumni from the Faculty. This is facilitated by coordinated administrative support for all stages of higher degree research candidature with clear, efficient and effective procedures.

By offering comprehensive support for prospective and existing higher degree research candidates across the Faculty, their supervisors and staff, the Graduate Research School delivers the highest quality research training outcomes and experience.  This strategic approach ensures our graduates have the best support and training to successfully complete their research higher degree and develop broader work readiness to thrive in their career of choice.
