Clinical Placement labs and simulations: To ensure students are fully prepared for clinical placements, students will have the opportunity to practice and learn skills at UNE’s Clinical Placement labs and simulations. Simulations and Clinical labs enable our students to learn and demonstrate, decision-making, critical thinking, effective communication, efficient teamwork, experiential learning and much more.
Students are advised to commence the following Health requirements as soon as the letter of offer has been received.
Basic Life support and Manual Handling Course
Completion of the UNE approved Basic life support and Manual Handling course.
UNE Nursing Uniform and Protective glasses
UNE Nursing Uniform and protective glasses can be purchased through campus essentials.
NSW Working With Children Check
Provide a current NSW Working With Children Check

UNE ID badge: issued by UNE Security
UNE Student Declaration Form
Completed via the student placement system InPlace made available to students upon enrolment.
|Mental Health First Aid Certificate||All Students are required to complete the online Mental Health First Aid Course. This course takes roughly 8 hours to complete online and is free for Nursing and Allied Health Students. You can register and complete online at https://mhfa.com.au/courses/elearning|

Criminal History Check:
Domestic Students: Students may apply for a NSW Health Police Check, Australian Federal Police Check or via an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission approved broker. .
International Students: Police Check from home country AND a NSW Health Police Check, Australian Federal Police Check or via an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission approved broker.
