Teacher Professional Learning
The University of New England's School of Education is a registered provider of Registered Teacher Professional Learning. Because schools understand what schools need, the School of Education works with schools to create tailored Professional Learning at the Proficient level. A list of current Professional Learning opportunities with schools is below. Schools who have been working with the School of Education can use the links below to register for the events. If you are interested in any of these offerings, please contact the Office for Professional Learning.
The School of Education is not yet a registered provider at the Highly Accomplished or Lead Level as these require a different registration process. We are, however, happy to discuss with schools and Highly Accomplished or Lead Teachers their needs to work towards achieving registration for these levels.
Supervising Teacher Education Students
As part of the Department of Education's requirement to complete training in mentoring teacher education students for placement, the Office for Professional Learning has been working with our Department of Education Hub Schools to create a mixed-mode Professional Learning session. This session is two hours in length and covers all that is required for supervising a UNE teacher education student with one hour being face-to-face and the other being an online module.
