The Bowline

Every time I tie a bowline, the litany echos from somewhere deep in my head: "The hole in front of the tree....the bunny comes up through the hole, around the tree and down the hole again.". I can't shake it. Must be a good mnemonic.

But please, if tying in with a bowline, secure the free end with a single fishermans knot (aka double overhand stopper) knot, otherwise the knot may collapse into a slip knot and you will DIE.
