The Rural Clearinghouse for Lifelong Education and Development at Kansas State University in the US has an extensive collection of links to rural development centres and programs.

The Idealist, a project of Action Without Borders, has a comprehensive directory of non-profit organisations, including a number with a rural or socio-economic focus. There are over 2,500 links to organisations, directories and publications. The directory is arranged by geography as well as by issue.

InFARMation is host to a wide range of Australian-related agricultural web sites. These are presented in 17 categories for easy navigation.
