Study Skills General Study Skills The Academic Skills Office (ASO) provides a wide range of programs to assist UNE students in developing their academic skills. These include the tUNEup series of online workshops/study materials and face-to-face workshops. Another important resource is Academic Literacy Online. This was designed to help students in the UNE Bachelor of Education programme develop their academic literacy skills. However, the resource contains much of value for students in other disciplines. Academic writing Web guides to academic writing are provided by the Academic Skills Office. Academic Literacy Online includes several useful sections on academic writing. Academic reading Web guides giving strategies for academic reading are provided by the Academic Skills Office. Active reading is covered in Section 10 of Academic Literacy Online. . Solving Study Problems Factsheets on dealing with different study problems are available for collection at Student Assist.
