Vice Chancellor's Student Leadership
Program (VCSLP)

'I commend this program to students who aspire to leadership positions. It is a great opportunity to avail yourself of the skills and expertise of our academic and general staff who generously contribute their knowledge and experience to participants. Leadership is about motivating, valuing and empowering other people and being open to ideas, change and new directions. We all have the ability to be a leader and we don't have to be in positions of power to put our leadership skills to good use. The VC's Leadership Course will demystify leadership as you enhance your understanding of personality styles, management skills, communication strategies and emotional intelligence. It will assist you understand your own leadership potential and plan your own personal leadership challenges for the future. I encourage you to take this opportunity to 'value add' to your degree and UNE experience.'

Professor Alan Pettigrew
Vice-Chancellor and CEO, University of New England
