Summary Reports on Past Surveys
Semester Summary Reports
At the end of each semester a summary report of the Unit Evaluation Surveys and the Lecturer Teaching Performance Surveys entitled Evaluation of Unit and Lecturer Teaching Performance Results is created.
Summary survey results are presented for the entire University, and for each Faculty and School. Data is divided into two main sections: unit evaluations and teaching evaluations. Each of these is further divided to show results for internal and external units. Results are shown as a radar plot and a stacked bar chart.
Unit Coordinators and Teachers can use the report to compare their own survey results to their school average.

Meaningfulness of Data
It is important to remember when interpreting the data that each Faculty, and indeed School, operates under different constraints and circumstances and that these factors may contribute to the varying results between different areas of the University. Therefore, it is important to make comparisons only where similar circumstances are known to exist.
Each School and Faculty needs to look at its own results to determine individual weaknesses and strengths as perceived by the students.
It is important to note that general findings within the University-wide results are not necessarily indicative of the views of students within particular Schools and Faculties.
There is a great variation within Schools and Faculties as to the number of responses and number of evaluations used within the data analysis of the reports. Where numbers are few, the results may not necessarily be representative of the School or Faculty and must be viewed with extreme caution.
Remember the same limitations apply as for individual evaluations.
