Role of the Committee for OLT Teaching Awards
The Grants and Awards Committee is responsible for identifying nominees for OLT Citations and Awards. Shortly after the Citation, Teaching and Program Awards EOI deadlines the Committee meets to consider the EOIs submitted. They identify those meeting the OLT selection criteria and are therefore likely to succeed with their nomination.
Following the submission of completed citation nominations, the Committee meets to decide which to endorse and provide the institutional ranking as required by the OLT.
Following the submission of completed teaching/ program awards, the Committee meets to decide whether to recommend institutional endorsement to the Vice-Chancellor.
Role of the Committee for OLT Grants
The Grants and Awards Committee is responsible for recommending whether completed applications should be provided with institutional endorsement by the Vice-Chancellor.
To support application development and minimise the risk of spending time developing an application with minimal chance of success, the Committee also consider applications at the EOI (Concept) stage.
It is important to note that ALL GRANT APPLICATIONS for which UNE is the lead institution must be must be approved through the process described above, and submitted to the Office for Learning and Teaching through UNE’s Institutional Contact Officer.
Grant applications in which UNE is a partner, but not the lead, institution must still be managed through UNE's Institutional Contact Officer to ensure all data is correctly captured for research reporting.
