Video

For vision impaired students, video resources may be partially accessible or not accessible at all. If such materials form part of the core learning activities, a discussion about the student's needs with the Disability Adviser and the student concerned might be useful prior to the commencement of study.

For hearing impaired students, the inclusion of captions may be a suitable way for students to access the material. Many commercially available video products have inbuilt captions so it is advisable to contact the relevant publisher or distributor. For locally produced video clips, sign language interpretation might be included during filming.

Contact the Disability Adviser in the UNE Equity Office or an educational developer in the TLC for further assistance.
