Enrol into a nursing course at UNE

New students to UNE need to apply to study on-campus through:
UAC or QTAC

Returning students can apply directly to the UNE Student Centre.

See the UNE Course and Unit catalogue for entry criteria. *Also please note that applicants who do not meet other criteria may request to enter via interview.  UNE Course and Unit Catalogue.

Interview Pathway

Students who do not meet the traditional entry criteria may be eligible to enter via interview. It is anticipated, based on previous unsuccessful applications for entry to UNE, that students who do not quite meet the UAI score, or those have successfully completed some types of trade or TAFE based qualifications, will now have the opportunity to commence an undergraduate nursing course if they are deemed suitable following an interview. The interview pathway entry will only allow for entry at the beginning of Year 1.

Interview Application

Two rounds of interviews will be conducted in Armidale for 2013 entry.

FIRST ROUND: December 2012 - Dates TBA
SECOND ROUND: January 2013 - Dates TBA

Applicants who choose to enter via this criterion must fill out an application form and post or fax it, together with 500 words as to why they want to study nursing, to the address listed on the form. Applicants need to note that telephone interviews are not possible.
