Bachelor of Agricultural Economics with Honours
I completed my Bachelor of Agricultural Economics in 2004, following which I accepted a job at the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) in Canberra. After completing a year in the graduate program, I was offered a scholarship from the Beef CRC to undertake my PhD back here at UNE, where I am also doing a spot of teaching and marking in the School of Economics.
Introduction
Agricultural and Resource Economics provides graduates with a solid core of knowledge but is also flexible. Students can customise their program to focus on aspects of agriculture, natural resources, business and law. Skills gained allow graduates to perform an effective professional role in a changing economic and social environment to deal with the complex issues facing the agricultural and resource sectors. Graduates take up professional, managerial or executive positions in such areas as banking, international agencies, agribusiness, education, agriculture or the public sector. Why Study Agricultural and Resource Economics at UNE?
