I obtained my PhD in 1988 from Shandong University in China. Before joining UNE as a postdoctoral research fellow in 1991 to work with Prof. E.N. Dancer on an ARC supported project, I worked as a lecturer at Shandong University for two years and as a visiting scholar at Herriot-Watt University in the UK for one year. My research at UNE is mainly concerned with nonlinear partial differential equations, both on theory and applications.
