Tanya has come to UNE from the UK, where she worked in initial teacher education, professional development and education studies. Tanya started her career in education as a teacher of ICT, before moving on to complete a PhD at Bangor University where she also lectured on the PGCE ICT and MA Education. She has extensive experience as Assistant Examiner and Key Skills Moderator for the Welsh Joint Examining Board. Working with Professors Michael Totterdell and Linda la Velle at the University of Plymouth, Tanya led the development of innovative signature pedagogy for teacher professional development that formed the pedagogic framework for Masters in Teaching and Learning (MTL). Whilst at Liverpool Hope University, Tanya was the convener of the Masters Working Group and Programme leader of the MSc Educational Research. Most recently, Tanya has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Chester working with the Early Childhood Studies team.
