Paul has been a contract lecturer at UNE for the past three years. He has been teaching ADR, Conveyancing, Local Government, The Law of Commercial Associations: Tutor - Criminal Law. He has also supervised an Ag-Law PhD student on pleadings, practice and procedure of Land and Environment Court. Paul’s research interests include mediation in the criminal law; whether there are avenues for redressing the inequities of funding for Aboriginal Legal Service(s) (ALS) by comparison to Legal Aid generally; and whether the Commonwealth Government can specify a condition of funding to the ALS that ALS lawyers must abandon their long held and widely respected policy not to cross examine Indigenous witnesses.
