I completed my undergraduate degree in geography education in 1989 and then enrolled directly into a Master of Applied Science investigating soil degradation with the aid of satellite imagery. Upon completion of my Masters course I was employed as a remote sensing specialist in Victoria for nearly 2 years and then the Northern Territory for another three years. In 1997 I took up a position as a lecturer in Remote Sensing and GIS at Charles Sturt University where I completed a PhD quantifying the effects of flow regulation on floodplain wetland inundation. In 2003 I moved to UNE and continue my teaching and research in Remote Sensing and GIS.
I lecture in Physical Geography, Remote Sensing and GIS at all year levels including post-graduate.
Dr Frazier is Postgraduate Coordinator in the School of Behavioural, Cognitive and Social Sciences.

Research interests
My research is broadly in the application of remote sensing and GIS to map, monitor and manage natural resources. My research interests include precision agriclutre and viticulture, remote sensing of wetland inundation regimes, spatial modelling of river functionMy research is broadly in the application of remote sensing and GIS to map, monitor and manage natural resources. My research interests include precision agriculture and viticulture, remote sensing of wetland inundation regimes, spatial modelling of river function and remote sensing of agricultural and viticultural crop condition. However, I have an interest in the application of remote sensing and GIS to any environmental or agricultural problem. A couple of current projects include:
- Monitoring the impact of long-wall mining on undermined grapevines in the Hunter and Broke-Fordwich wine regions
- Assessment of coastal wetlands - condition and rehabilitation priority
- Remote sensing based monitoring of wetland vegetation - Little Broadwater wetland
