Michelle rejoined UNE in 2009 after holding academic positions at the University of Southern Queensland and the University of Tasmania. She has teaching experience in the disciplines of Accounting and Finance and is currently teaching Small Business Finance and Accounting Theory. She is co-author of ‘Introducing Corporate Finance’ (with Diana Beal, 2005,Wiley) and ‘Introducing Corporate Finance’, 2nd edition (with Diana Beal & Abul Shamsuddin, 2008, Wiley).
Research interests
Her research interests include the pricing and valuation of initial public offerings (IPOs), ethical investment and valuation and measurement in accounting. She has published in journals including Accounting and Finance, Financial Services Review and the Journal of Investing.
Michelle is currently supervising two PhD students and supervised two students who completed their PhDs in 2010.
