Margaret has a BSc (Honours) degree from the University of NSW and a PhD from the University of Wollongong. She has been an Honorary Fellow in the School since she retired from her lecturing position at UNE in 2006. Prior to retiring she taught health-related science, especially microbiology, immunology and body chemistry to nursing and other health-care students for 23 years, and was involved in the initial and ongoing development of several programs for these students. As an Honorary Fellow she continues to have some involvement in the activities of the Human Biology and Physiology discipline group including making a small contribution to its teaching responsibilities.
