Kiran Shinde has worked as an Architect-Planner with consulting firms and government agencies, and taught in architectural institutions in India, Thailand, Cambodia and Australia.

Research interests
Kiran Shinde's research interests relate to urban planning and management, urban design, architecture, tourism and environmental management. His current project examines issues related to urban planning and management in pilgrimage sites in the state of Maharashtra, India
