Library Liaison Officer for the disciplines of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Sciences

I received my first degree of Magister in Physics from the Mikołaj Kopernik University, Toruń, Poland in 1985. I completed MSc in Mathematics (Dynamical Systems) at the University of Western Australia in 1993. My academic career began at the University of New England in 2001. Since then I completed my PhD in Mathematics (Riemannian Geometry) at UWA (2003) and the Graduate Certificate in Higher Education at UNE (2003). Postdoctoral research at the Australian National University during 2004 - 2005 inspired my interests in Machine Learning. Recent visit to Portugal made possible to advance my research in application of Riemannian Geometry to minimisation problems and in studying curves under the Rolling conditions.

Research interests

My research interests focus on applications of Riemannian Geometry and Variational Methods to:

  • Machine Learning
  • Statistics
  • Robotics

Teaching

  • Introduction to Computer Science
  • Compiler Theory and Construction
