I have been a member of the Statistics discipline at the University of New England since 1996. Prior to that, I was a tutor in Econometrics at UNE, and a lecturer in statistics at a university in Mexico. Research interests include survival analysis and statistics education. I am involved in collaborative research with a colleague from the School of Education, investigating the development of tertiary students' consideration of variation. My main teaching duties include teaching the first and second year service units in statistics, as well as teaching into the Public Health unit of the Joint Medical Program. I also provide statistical assistance for Honours students, post-graduate students, and academic staff within the Sciences.
