Jackie Lea is a Lecturer in Nursing in the School of Health at the University of New England. As a registered nurse, Jackie's career has focussed on patient care within medical and surgical areas of clinical practice and the clinical education of student nurses. Jackie has extensive clinical nursing experience within rural and metropolitan health care facilities from New South Wales and Western Australia and has provided clinical education to undergraduate nursing students from the University of New England, NSW and to nursing students from Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia.

Jackie has a Bachelor of Nursing and a Master of Nursing (Hons) from the University of New England. Jackie currently is a PhD Candidate at the University of Canberra.

Areas of Teaching

Jackie's teaching interests are in clinical nursing practice and patient care, work place learning and clinical education. She lectures to students in the pre-registration and the post graduate programs and is the unit coordinator for:
