Helena is a half-time Lecturer/Clinical Coordinator of the University of New England. Helena is a Registered Nurse and has completed an Intensive Care Certificate. She received a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of New England (UNE) and has completed the Master of Nursing, Advanced Clinical Education at UNE. Helena is the Unit Coordinator for critical care units at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Helena also holds a part time position as a Clinical Nurse Educator in the Intensive care Unit at Tamworth Hospital.
She lectures in Nursing,

2005 - Collaborative research project with the nursing course team at the School of Health UNE: An investigation of the impact of rural clinical placement has on the career intentions of final year nursing students at UNE.
2004 Sanderson H, Hanson B, Gilligan E, Constable T. An exploration of the transfer process of Acute care patients, family and ward staff: a pilot study. This project was successful in obtaining a 2004 University Internal Research Grant.
