Research interests
My scientific research currently addresses the following aspects within the area of soil science:
- Effects of soil organic matter and other bonding agents on aggregate stability
- Effects of compaction on soil strength and soil structure
- Effects of soil strength on the ability of plant roots to penetrate soil
- Water resource management in relation to the Australian cotton industry
- Study of pasture hydrology under different grazing management systems
- Study of water infiltration characteristics on clay soils in northern NSW
- Study of erosion risk on clay soils in northern NSW
- Occurrence of toxic aluminium in acid pasture soils in northern NSW
