Research interests

My scientific research currently addresses the following aspects within the area of soil science:

  • Effects of soil organic matter and other bonding agents on aggregate stability
  • Effects of compaction on soil strength and soil structure
  • Effects of soil strength on the ability of plant roots to penetrate soil
  • Water resource management in relation to the Australian cotton industry
  • Study of pasture hydrology under different grazing management systems
  • Study of water infiltration characteristics on clay soils in northern NSW
  • Study of erosion risk on clay soils in northern NSW
  • Occurrence of toxic aluminium in acid pasture soils in northern NSW
