David Gee spent nearly all his career working as a teacher in the NSW Education System and the last 15 years in this role as Principal of Armidale High School, a large and very fine country high school. Since retiring from this position he has worked as a lecturer and now senior lecturer.
His major academic and research interest is leadership, and school leadership in particular. He is a graduate of the Universities of Newcastle, New England and London and was recently made a Fellow of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders. He has recently undertaken 2 major overseas consultancies including reviewing and recommending changes to the education management and monitoring systems in the Kingdom of Bhutan. David was honoured in the 1990s to be the Australian Commonwealth Relations Trust Open Award Fellow based in the Institute of Education at the University of London where he undertook research into the impact of legislative change on school management. He is a member of Administrative Studies within the Public Policy group.Affiliations
Fellow of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders and Secretary of the New England Branch of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders.
Member of the Australian College of Educators.
