Projects and Research Interests
Dr Hopwood’s research interests include the politics, society, and literature of Republican and Julio-Claudian Rome, Roman women, law, rhetoric, religion, and public space, art, and architecture in the Roman world. Current projects include work on: Agrippina Minor, The Laudatio Turiae, The condicio nominis ferendi, and the ratio Voconiana.
Supervision
Dr Hopwood has supervised a variety of doctoral, masters, and honours research theses, as well as coursework masters and undergraduate research papers in Roman history, and has formal qualifications and training in academic supervision. A selection of the research supervised by Dr Hopwood includes:
