Dr Lindsey Frost
Junior Research Fellow - Aquatic Ecology - School of Environmental and Rural Science
Biography
Lindsey is a Junior Research Fellow working with the UNE Aquatic Ecology Lab to investigate the ecological outcomes of environmental watering in the northern Murray Darling Basin. Her specific research interest, and the basis of her PhD research, is in understanding how watering influences aquatic food webs and the transfer of energy from basal resources to top order consumers. Management of our freshwater assets is complex and challenging, with competing demands on a finite resource. Lindsey’s research aims to improve our understanding of the mechanisms by which our beautiful and unique freshwater ecosystems to respond to managed flows, and ultimately inform sustainable long-term water management.
