Biography

Dr Shi Li has started to teach Chinese language and culture since 2005 in the Australian tertiary education and has received many University unit commendations and one School award for teaching excellence with other colleagues.
Dr Shi Li's research is specialised in gratitude development in children towards their parents, and intercultural studies.

Research Interests

My research focuses contemporary Chinese culture in areas of filial piety and also cross-cultural studies on gratitude development in children. This is to seek better understanding and addressing the issues of the “Me” generation or entitled generation and the global ageing, which have had significant ramifications for China and other countries in cultural and social changes in the last few decades and many decades to come.
