About AIA - History "Working for the benefit of International students and
their families"
| |
Armidale
International Association was first established in 1980 to
form a bridge between international students and their
families and the Armidale community. Initially, the
Association worked predominantly with students studying in the
Faculty of Economics who were mostly AIDAB students. Since
1988, AIA has broadened its activities to support the social,
cultural and welfare needs of all international students
studying at UNE, with special emphasis placed on the needs of
students and their families.
AIA plays an
important role in providing support and generating a positive
rapport with international students who return home and speak
favourably of their experience of the University and the
Armidale community. AIA consists of an extensive network of
volunteers from the local community, the University and the
international student body.
