Digital Rural Futures Conference


Abstract Submission Extended to 15th April 2013

Submissions of abstracts are invited for the Conference Proceedings, addressing aspects of the Conference themes.

This Conference is about building networks and raising awareness of challenges and opportunities. Therefore, abstracts are designed to introduce your research, your group, your business or your activity to other Conference delegates, in the context of the three Conference themes; Smart technology, Data and information management, Smart services and decision support systems

Submission Guidelines

Abstracts are limited to 1 A4 page. To download the abstract template please click here.

Abstracts may be submitted by email until Monday 15th April (5 pm).

Email your abstract as an attached MS-Word document to ruralfutures@une.edu.au .
In your email please identify which theme you wish your abstract to be considered for.

Abstracts submissions will be acknowledged by return email and acceptances communicated after the closing date.

 

If your abstract is Accepted

While you do not have to register to attend the Conference before the abstract submission date, your accepted abstracts will be included in the Conference booklet after you have registered. At least one author must be registered at the Conference for the abstract to be published.

Speakers for our parallel sessions will be selected from the abstract pool. If you are not selected for a presentation, your abstract will still be included in the proceedings, provided you have registered to attend the event. All expenses including registration and travel are the responsibility of the attending author(s).

All abstract authors will have the opportunity to prepare and submit full papers to a special edition of the ERA-listed journal Crop and Pasture Science dedicated to the conference themes.  This will be arranged after the conference.

Please note: Submission of an abstract implies permission for it to be published in the Conference proceedings and other relevant publications.
