Since undergraduate studies in Economic Geography at the University of New South Wales, Fran has worked at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, in private industry, and taught at the Universities of Sydney and Wollongong.
Research interests
She completed her PhD at the University of New England, where her research focused on the health needs of rural Australians and the problems associated with the provision of health care services to rural areas.
Her current research interests include socio-demographic change in rural Australia and the impacts of changes in service provision on rural residents and communities.
