FMS would like to advise that due to major electrical works being preformed on the new Greenhouse construction site a shutdown of electrical supply to the following buildings is scheduled for Sunday 14th of December 2008.

Please note that the following buildings will be affected for an estimated period of eight hours commencing at around 8.00am - Regional Vet Lab – Main Office and Laboratories W01,  Animal House “A” Sheep Lab W03, Trevanna House W43,  Trevanna Cottage W45,

FMS wish to advise that the Contractor will commence removal of the roofing on the western section of McClymont Building (W034) this coming Monday the 8^th December 2008. 

Please be aware that all staff are to evacuate level 2 of this section of building by close of business Friday the 5^th December 2008, this includes all laboratories and offices. Please note that the carpark on the Northern side of the building (opposite the

Building) will be closed (including red bays) temporarily due to the removal and storage of the asbestos sheeting.

FMS wish to advise that tomorrow afternoon Tuesday 25^th November 2008 at 1.00pm the Contractors working on the McClymont roof (W034) will have a crane parked for two hours at the rear (Northern side) of the main building so as to lift materials onto the roof.

Please be advised that this will prohibit access (vehicles) to Rural Science Annexe - West Building (W31), Rural Science Annexe - East Building (W32)  and DNA Laboratory - Animal Calorimetry Building (W33) for the duration (two hours) of these works.

Dear Staff and Students,

In accordance with the scheduled maintenance window procedure the next maintenance event will occur on Saturday 15^th November 2008.

ITD will be performing maintenance work between 4:30am and 5:45am. As a result of this ALL internet and the majority of network based university services WILL BE AVAILABLE during this period, with the exception of the following ;-

Blackboard LMS system -  4:30am to 5:15am

This event is one of a regular schedule of maintenance windows during which essential upgrades and maintenance improvements will be applied to University systems.

The schedule includes a major full day outage every quarter and a shorter outage every month. These are scheduled to take place on the third Saturday every month and quarterly in (Jan, Apr, Jul & Oct). Times may be varied to cater for important events such as residential schools and notices regarding the schedule of maintenance windows will be posted on the ITD Services Announcements web page before each scheduled window.

Please check the ITD service announcements web page regularly for information relating to ITD services and events.

To reiterate, for this scheduled maintenance window, the following systems will be unavailable :-

Blackboard LMS system -  4:30am to 5:15am
