Council Elections
Two Academic Staff Members
Two academic staff members of the University of New England are to be elected by and from the academic staff of the University who are on the Roll of Academic Staff, that is, who have been employed at half-time or greater for at least 12 months. The term of office will be two years from 19 August 2008.
A call for nominations has been made through a UNE-Official dated 3 June 2008. Nominations must be lodged by 4.30pm, Tuesday 24 June 2008.

One Non-Academic Staff Member
One non-academic staff member of the University of New England is to be elected by and from the non-academic staff of the University who are on the Roll of Non-Academic Staff, that is, who have been employed at half-time or greater for at least 12 months, and are not on the Roll of Academic Staff. One undergraduate student member of the University of New England is to be elected by and from the undergraduate students of the University who are on the Roll of Undergraduate Students and whose names are not entered on the Roll of Postgraduate Students or the Roll of Academic Staff or the Roll of Non-Academic Staff. The term of office will be two years from 29 September 2008.
A call for nominations will be made through by electronic mail-out to external undergraduate students and posting of notices to the University’s notice-boards by 4 July 2008. Nominations must be lodged by 4.30pm, Friday 25 July 2008.

One postgraduate student member of the University of New England is to be elected by and from the postgraduate students of the University who are on the Roll of Postgraduate Students and whose names are not entered on the Roll of Undergraduate Students, or the roll of Academic Staff or the roll of Non-Academic Staff. The term of office will be two years from 5 October 2006.
A call for nominations will be made through by electronic mail-out to external postgraduate students and posting of notices to the University’s notice-boards by 4 July 2008. Nominations must be lodged by 4.30pm, Friday 25 July 2008.
