Chairs, Board of Studies
- The Chairs of Boards of Studies must be Senior Lecturer or above and shall be appointed on the basis of a formal selection procedure as indicated below.
- A notice is to be sent to all academic staff requesting expressions of interest via letter.
- Expressions of interest should include information regarding the candidate’s interest in and the contribution they would make to the position.
- Expressions of interest should be forwarded to the Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning).
- Expressions of interest will be considered by a Committee consisting of the Dean, Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning), the Faculty Manager/Academic Coordinator and the Faculty Quality Assurance Officer. The Faculty Administrative Assistant will act as Secretary to the Committee, if required.
- In arriving at a final decision, it may be necessary to interview candidates.
- The decision will be confirmed at Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee.
- The appointment shall be for two years, with an option to extend for a second term.
Course Coordinators
- Course Coordinators must be Senior Lecturer or above and shall be appointed on the basis of a formal selection procedure as indicated below.
- A notice is to be sent to all academic staff requesting expressions of interest via letter.
- Expressions of interest should include information regarding the candidate’s interest in and the contribution they would make to the position, and their commitment to students.
- Expressions of interest should be forwarded to the Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning).
- Expressions of interest will be considered by a Committee consisting of the Dean, Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning), Chair of relevant Board of Studies, the Faculty Manager/Academic Coordinator and the Faculty Quality Assurance Officer. The Faculty Administrative Assistant will act as Secretary to the Committee, if required.
- The Committee’s decision will be confirmed at the relevant Board of Studies and then Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee.
- The appointment shall be for three years, with an option to extend for a second term.
