The School of Science and Technology encompasses a number of different disciplines including Physics, Chemistry, Human Biology and Physiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Sports Studies, Exercise and Sports Science (Clinical Exercise Physiology) and Pharmacy.
The academic staff within our school offer a unique composition of teaching, research and consulting capabilities. Tripping ‘the Light Fantastic’ Inaugural Lecture Professor David Lamb will give his Inaugural Lecture, entitled ‘The Light Fantastic’ Wednesday, June 15th. Professor of Physics and Precision Agriculture within the School of Science and Technology, Professor Lamb, will seek to enlighten members of the University and the community on the physics of light.

$4.8 Million CRN Grant for Rural Health Dr Pierre Moens and Associate Professor Jim McFarlane, from the School of Science and Technology, played significant parts in obtaining a major grant to assist in the development of research into mental health in rural regions.
