Yvonne Austen/UNE Country Scholarship
If you are from the country, have high academic achievements, have been involved in leadership positions in school, clubs or the community and are enrolling in an agricultural course, you have a chance of being awarded this scholarship.
Offers will be conditional on the applicant meeting all eligibility requirements upon enrolment (see Yvonne Austen/UNE Country Scholarship Terms and Conditions).
Value: $5,000 per annum for duration of course

Eligibility:
- open to students completing Year 12 and gap year students commencing university study for the first time
- aged 21 or under at the start of the academic teaching year
- residents of regional or remote areas
- outstanding academic achievement – a UAI of at least 85 or an ATAR of at least 86.30 (or equivalent)
- applying for admission to a an agricultural course.
Selection is based on:
- academic merit as indicated by the applicant’s performance during the HSC or equivalent
- involvement and leadership in school and community activities
- commitment to the proposed course
- Principal’s assessment
- a statement outlining how the recipient would use the funds and special reasons for being awarded the scholarship.
