UNE Equity Scholarship

If you are from the country and applying for admission to a course in Nursing or Teaching at The University of New England , you have a chance of being awarded this scholarship.

Offers will be conditional on the applicant meeting all eligibility requirements upon enrolment (see UNE Equity Scholarship Terms and Conditions).

Value:

$5,500 (indexed annually for the CPI) for 3 years


Number Awarded:

7  (2 Nursing; 2 Teaching/Education; 3 either Nursing or Teaching/Education)

Closing Date: 

Last Friday in September each year


Eligibility:

  1. open to students completing Year 12 and gap year students
  2. the applicant must be able to demonstrate financial disadvantage
  3. a UAI of at least 75 (or equivalent)
  4. residents of regional or remote areas
  5. the applicant will be applying for admission to a course in Nursing or Teaching.

Selection is based on:

  1. academic merit as indicated by the applicant’s performance during the HSC or equivalent
  2. involvement and leadership in school and community activities
  3. commitment to the proposed course
  4. financial need
  5. Principal’s assessment
  6. a statement outlining how the recipient would use the funds and special reasons for being awarded the scholarship.
If you are applying for more than one of the scholarships listed on the Undergraduate Scholarships Application form, you should use the same form for all your applications.
