Robb College Women’s Sporting Association Scholarship
Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
The University of New England has established undergraduate scholarships to support students who have a record of academic achievement, and have been involved in leadership positions in school and the community. Some scholarships are funded by donations or grants from individuals or organisations and may include specific criteria beyond the usual University requirements.
The recipient will commence full-time, on-campus studies at the University of New England in an undergraduate degree program in the year following application.
The recipient must reside in Robb College .

3. Eligibility
- The applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident as defined by the Commonwealth (refer to www.goingtouni.gov.au ) who has applied, via UAC or QTAC, for admission to a undergraduate degree program at the University of New England .
- The applicant must be able to demonstrate ability to play sport at a high level of proficiency.
4. Selection
- The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit as indicated by the applicant's performance during the NSW HSC, or equivalent.
- The applicant must attach evidence to support their demonstrated ability to play sport at a high level of proficiency.
The Robb College Scholarships Committee will also consider:
- involvement and leadership in school and community activities
5. Report/s
Number required: 1 (one) – School Principal's Report
2 (two) – Referee's Report from a recognised regional, state, national, or international coach commenting on the applicant's suitability for the scholarship

7. Conditions
- The recipient must reside in Robb College .
- The recipient must participate in at least one registered sport and five (5) intercollegial sporting competitions held at various times during the year.
- The recipient must participate in promotional activities on behalf of the College and the Association as agreed between the recipient, the College and the Association.
- The scholarship shall be administered by and awarded on the recommendation of the Robb College Scholarship Selection Committee.
- There will be no commitment by the University to employ the recipient.
- The scholarship is intended for the nominated undergraduate degree and may not be deferred or transferred without the written approval of the Robb College Scholarship Selection Committee.
- The scholarship shall comprise a payment of one thousand dollars ($1,000) for one year.
- The scholarship is payable directly to the recipient's residential account after the start of each semester (March and August).
- Residential scholarships will only be awarded to applicants not receiving other UNE scholarships.
- Recipients will be required to submit brief reports (by 30 th June and 30 th November) on their progress with their studies and involvement in sporting, cultural and community activities as well as participation in University life.
- Any request to vary the conditions of the scholarship must be made in writing and will be determined at the discretion of the Robb College Scholarship Selection Committee.
- The recipient will be required to attend the annual scholarships presentation evening, if they are invited to do so, and may be asked to participate in activities to promote this scholarship, including public speaking, donor liaison, media interviews and photographs.
8. Acceptance of Conditions
- In accepting the Robb College Women's sporting Association Scholarship the recipient acknowledges that he is accepting the terms and conditions outlined above.
- Failure to meet the requirements of these terms and conditions may lead to the termination of the scholarship.
